Yle broadcasts the FRSO’s concerts to all Finns

Yle broadcasts Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra’s concerts via radio, television, and the internet to Finland and the world

FRSO’s concerts are broadcasted live on Yle Radio 1. Concert reruns are broadcasted on Yle Radio 1 on Mondays from 8 to 10 p.m. Live broadcast intermissions illuminate the evening’s concert or familiarise listeners with historical people and events in music. The broadcasts are hosted by Lotta Emanuelsson and Outi Paananen.

Other FRSO performances can be heard on the "RSO konserttilavalla" broadcast on Tuesdays from 2 to 3 p.m.

Live concerts are also broadcasted once a month on the YLE Teema TV channel. In addition to musical performances, the "RSO Musiikkitalossa" broadcast introduces the evening's artists and audience while allowing viewers to enjoy the concert’s atmosphere. The evening is presented by Inari Nuutero and Janne Koskinen, pianist Jukka Nykänen, and chief conductor Hannu Lintu.

The broadcast also includes Hannu Lintu’s concert guests from the fields of academia, art, and politics.

You can enjoy FRSO's performances online anywhere around the world. Seasonal concert series are available as live broadcasts at yle.fi/klassinen. The same URL also hosts artist interviews and all live broadcasts for 30 days after the premiere.
