Enjoy live music from Sibelius Academy students during summer afternoons at Musiikkitalo!
AINON is a young and fresh Finnish group formed in 2017 and based in Helsinki. Their music is a combination of jazz, classical and contemporary music which includes lots of improvisation. The cellist, Aino Juutilainen, is mainly responsible for the compositions but the repertoire also includes some compositions by the drummer Joonas Leppänen. Other members of the band are Satu-Maija Aalto (violin and viola) and Suvi Linnovaara (tenor saxophone, clarinet, flute). The pieces tell small stories and paint different pictures of the world where we're living in and the world that might exist in the future. AINON is recording their first album in summer 2019 and it'll be released later on the same year.

Sibelius Academy students play pop up -concerts all through the summer at Musiikkitalo. Music on offer will range from classical to jazz. Most of the concerts are held in our cafe, so you can enjoy a fresh drink and maybe some delicacies while enjoying the music.

All the pop up -concerts are free of charge – welcome!
