The mission of the Helsinki Music Centre Foundation is to promote and treasure different forms of music through performances, mainly at the Helsinki Music Centre.

The Foundation awards grants and scholarships for events and acquisitions that promote its mission. The Foundation is a non-profit organisation. The chair of the Foundation is Ritva Viljanen, Deputy Mayor of the City of Helsinki. The Foundation’s chief executive is Reetta Sariola, culture coordinator. 

GRANT APPLICATION

The application period for Helsinki Music Centre Foundation’s 2015 grants runs from 1 January to 28 February 2015.

The foundation will awards grants from two funds during this particular application period. The Pro Musica fund awards grants and scholarships for classical music projects. The Helsinki Music Centre’s fund awards grants and scholarships mainly for genres other than classical music.

Awarded projects are selected primarily on their content. Grant and scholarship applications can be submitted by private applicants, project teams, and associations.

Applications for both funds should be submitted using the same form. Funding decisions will be made in May 2015.

Each awardee must deliver a report on how the grant has been invested by the deadline established by the Foundation. Reporting instructions will be included with the grant confirmation.

The Helsinki Music Centre Foundation will publish a list of grant recipients on its website.
